To Wreath or not to Wreath

Well, Christmas is upon us... I took down my Halloween decor and left the little I have for my thanksgiving/fall decor which includes some cheap fall leaves garland, a wire pumpkin, and some stolen pine cones from the neighbors tree..pretty B.A huh:)

Back on the subject, I went to the ever so classy Walmart to look at the new Christmas wreath's. and meh, not for me. A little chintzy wreath was $15 bucks. I am definitely not too high class for Walmart but come on.. way to spendy for that piece of.. Some of the nicer ones I saw at Lowes, Lewis etc were like 40-80 bucks or more...beautiful, but oh so expensive So I went back to Walmart.. the only thing remotely close to a craft store in Brookings, SD, and found a 24" plain wreath for under $5 bucks, then went to the area where they have extra pieces of greens that had some sparkley silver for $3.50 a piece, then I went over to the ornament isle where they have all their ornaments by color and grabbed brown poinsettias & sparky pine cone clusters for $.99 a piece. Grabbed some silver jingly bell ornaments for .$97 a piece and off I went. I got home and assembled it... thinking it looked a little blahze... so I pulled out some left over ribbon & three teal ornaments from my tree decor bin, some peacock feathers which I already have from bargain shopping at Goodwill. I hot glued everything into place, including my fingers....son of a..the worst of it was the damn glitter all over the  house, the dogs and Marc's face, my work clothes the next day..WTF. Oh well TOTALLY worth it because here is the finished product - and all for less than $20..Booya!
